千禧年之际，ASICS Gel-1000系列为各层次运动员提供了优质跑鞋。该系列第九代产品——2008年推出的Gel-1130，凭借其稳定支撑性能与时尚的千禧年风格设计，在十余年后重回主流视野。

2010年代末期潮流更迭，使ASICS Gel-1130这类厚底千禧跑鞋蜕变为炙手可热的生活方式鞋款。而真正推动这款朴素鞋型回归潮流的，是富有远见的保加利亚设计师基科·科斯塔迪诺夫。早年他曾与美国时尚品牌Stussy等合作取得成功，随后与ASICS建立合作关系，最终发展为长期创意伙伴。

作为亚瑟士运动时尚部门负责人，科斯塔迪诺夫主导全系列鞋款设计，将其标志性极简美学与品牌高端运动服饰常见的前沿功能性元素相融合。他更携手专业设计团队成功复刻经典鞋款，如2020年重磅回归的Gel-Kayano 14便广受好评。

这一成功为后续复古系列铺平道路，ASICS Gel-1130很快被选为下一款怀旧鞋款进行现代升级。科斯塔迪诺夫设计的UB2-S版本对原型进行了创新性重构，网状织物覆盖大部分鞋面，营造出迷人视觉效果。技术层面延续经典设计的高端配置：柔软泡沫中底、Trusstic支撑系统及凝胶缓震后跟，共同实现极致舒适与稳定性。

虽然 UB2-S Gel-1130 别具一格的外观为这款回归鞋款造足了话题，但传统款式的重新推出却与日本文化杂志《Sabukaru》和数字创意社区 Onlunchbreak 合作，开展了一场鼓舞人心的宣传活动。该活动围绕社区精神与共同热忱的积极理念展开，呈现两品牌员工身着白色电光红配色鞋款的画面，ASICS将Gel-1130誉为"历久弥新的经典之作"。

得益于这场强势的首发企划与科斯塔迪诺夫的创意才华，Gel-1130迅速成为热门生活方式运动鞋。一年后，这位保加利亚设计师推出更具前卫美学的第二代UB4-S。与此同时，与Cecilie Bahnsen、Kith、NAKED Copenhagen等时尚精品店的联名合作，使该鞋款受到凯亚·格伯等社交媒体红人的青睐，进一步提升其吸引力。至2024年，Gel-1130已成为备受追捧的时尚单品，其日常穿着的舒适性与优雅风格广受喜爱。

2008年ASICS Gel-1130初登场时，不过是款可靠的跑鞋；但2021年复刻版问世后，它开启了新的成功篇章，在球鞋爱好者与更广泛的时尚圈中掀起热潮。其永恒的设计、卓越的功能性，以及科斯塔迪诺夫等设计师大胆的叙事手法，共同成就了这场惊艳的回归。
